What types of therapy do you offer at Inkblot Wellness?
At Inkblot Wellness, we offer a wide range of therapy services tailored to meet your unique needs. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, solution-focused therapy, and more.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’ve ever found yourself feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, struggling to cope, or simply wishing you had someone to talk to then therapy may be a good fit. You don’t need to have a mental health diagnosis to benefit from support. Therapy can help with everything from managing stress, anxiety, and relationship issues to building self-confidence and improving overall wellbeing. What should I expect during my first therapy session?
Your first session is mostly about getting to know you. Your therapist will ask questions to better understand your concerns, background, and goals for therapy. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once— your therapist will go at your pace and work to create a space that feels safe and supportive.
Do you offer online or virtual therapy sessions?
Yes, we do. Inkblot Wellness offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to accommodate your preferences and schedule. Virtual therapy is a flexible, accessible option for clients across Barbados and the wider Caribbean region.
How many therapy sessions will I need to see results?
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and the nature of the challenges you’re facing. Some people notice meaningful shifts in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Your therapist will work with you to regularly review your progress and adjust the approach as needed. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
Is everything I say in therapy confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is one of Inkblot Wellness’s core values and is essential to creating a safe, trusting space for healing. Everything you share in therapy is kept private, with a few exceptions: if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or if we are legally obligated to disclose information (such as in cases of abuse or a court order). Your therapist will go over these limits with you during your first session, so you understand exactly how your information is protected.
What types of psychological assessments do you offer at Inkblot Wellness?
Inkblot Wellness provides a wide range of psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These include psychoeducational assessments (e.g., learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness), cognitive and intellectual testing, autism assessments, psychodiagnostic assessments, and medicolegal reports.
Assessments are conducted by trained professionals using standardized tools, and each evaluation includes a detailed written report with personalized recommendations. What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and how can it help me?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential service provided by some employers to support the mental health and wellbeing of their staff. Through Inkblot Wellness, employees can access short-term counselling for a range of concerns, including stress, burnout, grief, family or relationship challenges, and/or workplace issues.
